Hello.

I’m Lemiaye (le-me-ay).

I am a British Japanese writer, storyteller, and communications specialist with a passion for creating human and multicultural stories to be a force for good.

I hold a Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) from the California Institute of the Arts, where I honed my craft in storytelling, screenwriting and film/video. My creative work spans screenplays, short stories, novels and poetry, as well as producing and directing documentary and narrative films. My projects have been shortlisted at festivals and competitions such as the Sundance Cultural Impact Residency.

Before my MFA, I gained 15+ years of experience in marketing and communications for global brands such as TikTok, Deloitte and WWF.

I enjoy creating communications and content that brings a brand’s purpose and culture to life. I’ve also specialized on narratives around diversity and inclusion, sustainability, and technology. I’m drawn to work where creativity and purpose meet—it's where the most meaningful stories begin.

I also have a postgraduate certificate with the University of Cambridge in Sustainable Business; a United Nations Executive Education in Sustainability Leadership; and a BA Hons degree in Marketing and Business Studies.

In my spare time I love to do sports, dance, horse ride and be in the outdoors. I consider myself a world citizen having lived in Japan, US, UK, and Australia, where I have also been fortunate to have travelled extensively around the world.
